Mr. Gary Dorf’s presentation will focus on recent studies that deal with cognition and hearing loss. BrainHearing™ describes the approach that Oticon takes when creating solutions for those with hearing loss. It starts with the fundamental observation that speech understanding is a cognitive process – it happens in the brain.

Gary Dorf is Regional/Account Manager for Oticon Inc. serving the Western region. He has more than 40 years’ experience in audiology, hearing aid dispensing, counseling the hearing impaired and business development. In addition to owning his own private practice for 20 years, Gary served as Vice President for Hearing Instrument Consultants Inc. from 1979 to 1997. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from City College of New York, a Master of Science degree from Brooklyn College and a Doctor of Audiology degree from the Arizona School of Health Sciences.
Coffee, water and light refreshments provided. There will be a 50/50 raffle – winner gets 50% of the money collected on tickets sold for the raffle – this could be your lucky day!!! There will be an after meeting get together for lunch close by – to be determined at the meeting.
