Speaker: Meghan Crimmins, Au.D., CCC-A, Clinical Specialist – Southwest Region
Come to the HLAA City of Orange June meeting for an explanation. The presentation will include the topics of: what is the difference between a hearing aid and a cochlear implant? A technology update for cochlear implants with a focus on Advanced Bionics Naida Q90 and the new Phonak Naida Link. We will also go over the importance of aural rehabilitation and available resources.
Meghan Crimmins, Au.D., received her Doctorate of Audiology degree from Rush University in Chicago, IL. She has over ten years of experience providing direct services to individuals with hearing loss. Meghan has been with Advanced Bionics since 2014- she provides on-site clinical support, product training, initial activations, and assistance with clinical management of difficult cases. Prior to her current position, Meghan worked at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago and obtained 6 years of programming experience, specializing in programming patients with atypical anatomy. Meghan happily moved from the windy city with her family to California three years ago. She loves the sunshine and the availability of outdoor activities all year round for her three young boys!

We will also discuss the Long Beach Walk4Hearing to be held on June 10, 2017 – NEXT WEEKEND–at the Marina Green Park in Long Beach – our chapter’s team is Orange Crush.
BYOC (Bring your own coffee). Light refreshments will be served. There will be a 50/50 raffle – winner gets 50% of the money collected on tickets sold for the raffle – this could be your lucky day!!! There will be an after meeting get-together for lunch close by – to be determined at the meeting.
