September Meeting- Not Your Grandmother’s Hearing Loss

Speaker: Brad Ingrao, AuD

Dr. Brad

Brad Ingrao, AuD has been around hearing loss literally his whole life.  His late Uncle was a professional musician turned hearing aid specialist and his adopted adult son is Deaf and uses ASL.

Dr. Ingrao has been actively involved in consumer organizations for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing since 1984 and is known as an early adopter of new and innovative technological and logistical solutions for hearing in difficult situations.  He currently works for the Veterans Health Administration where he provides a full range of audiology services including a sub-specialty of working with patients with severe to profound hearing loss.

Dr. Ingrao has served as professional adviser and Board member for several HLAA chapters, has presented at several National, State and local HLAA meetings and previously wrote a regular technology column in Hearing Loss Magazine as well as contributing to several articles, webinars and books on hearing loss.

Dr. Ingrao’s presentation “Not Your Grandmother’s Hearing Loss” addresses the myths about who has hearing loss (lots of young folks do) and how those with hearing loss can leverage current technology to succeed with hearing loss rather than just get by.
