June Meeting – Hearing Your World with Wireless Connections

Speaker: Amber Hicks, Starkey Field Representative

Amber is originally from Oklahoma where she received her Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Oklahoma State University.  She worked for several years in a private practice in Oklahoma as their Marketing Director and a Hearing Aid Dispenser before accepting a position at a private practice in Orange County.  While in private practice, Amber found herself drawn to educating patients in emerging hearing aid technology, especially wireless technology, as well as the benefits of communicating through social media.  She discovered her love of connecting people through technology when her father got  made for iPhone hearing aids that allows them to connect across the miles.  Amber joined the Starkey team last August and currently works in Southern California as a Field Sales Representative.  When she isn’t at work, you can find her either serving at church or perfecting her fishing skills out on the ocean!

Also at this meeting we will recap the upcoming Walk4Hearing in Long Beach to be held on June 11 at Marina Green Park in Long Beach.  Please join Team Orange Crush – help raise awareness of hearing loss and raise money for our chapter.

Light refreshments will be served.  There will be a 50/50 drawing – winner gets 50% of the money collected on tickets sold for the raffle – this could be your lucky day!!!

Meetings are looped – your hearing aid or cochlear implant T-coil will put you in the loop.  We also have CART (real time captioning) so you can read what you are unable to hear.
